2026 Day on The Hill

NCVPRN board member Dani Ronk and former board member Pam Gaines had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Day on the Hill in Washington, DC. During the visit, they met with Nebraska representatives to discuss two important pieces of legislation supporting cardiopulmonary rehabilitation in our state.

The two bills - the Sustainable Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Services in the Home Act (H.R. 783 / S. 248), also known as the AACVPR - Virtual Act, and the Expanding Patient Access to Outpatient Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation through the SOS: Sustaining Outpatient Services Act (H.R. 7666 / S. 3908), known as the AACVPR - SOS Act - reinforce NCVPRN’s mission to expand access to cardiopulmonary rehabilitation services across Nebraska.

We thank Dani and Pam for representing NCVPRN and for their continued advocacy to advance cardiopulmonary rehabilitation now and in the future.

2026 Governor's Proclamation

NCVPRN Committee members Holly Leach and Camie Bremer had the opportunity to attend and speak at the signing of a statewide proclamation by Governor Jim Pillen, officially recognizing Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week in Nebraska.

This proclamation highlights the critical roles these programs play in helping patients recover from heart and lung conditions - improving strength, quality of life and long-term health. We're grateful for this recognition and the continued support of those advancing cardiac and pulmonary care across our state.

Affiliate Leadership Forum

NCVPRN board members Dani Ronk and Kathy Lierman had the opportunity to attend the 2025 AACVPR Affiliate Leadership Forum in downtown Chicago, Illinois. This was a great benefit provided to Dani and Kathy for their positions on the NCVPRN board. High quality leadership training in beautiful Chicago!

The forum brought together Affiliate Leaders from around the country to network and learn best-practices around volunteer association management, leadership development, industry updates. The forum also featured a series of interactive educational sessions and knowledge sharing activities, along with other networking opportunities.
