Thank you for volunteering to serve as a Reviewer for the 2025 Program Certification Reviewer Cycle! This page includes various resources/documents to assist you as a Program Certification reviewer.
2025 Remediation Resources
Remediation Timeline:
- July 31 - Decisions sent to programs
- August 5 - Remediation Training
- August 7 - Deadline for programs to confirm participation in Remediation
- August 8 - Applications sent to remediation
- August 8-15 - All reviewers should contact their assigned programs with initial remediation comments between August 8 and August 15. If you are unable to contact your assigned programs during that period, please contact Kate or Toya so they can let your assigned programs know.
- August 20 - Please let us know if you haven't heard from your program by August 20. We'll start following up with programs to prompt a response around this time.
- September 15 - Programs must submit their final application materials by this deadline.
- September 22 - Reviewers must submit their final decisions on any outstanding applications by this date.
- October 2 - The Program Certification Leadership Team will aim to finalize any decisions for outstanding reviews by this date.

Remediation Reviewer Guide
The Remediation Reviewer Guide includes instructions for using the system to complete remediation, along with sample language that can be used and adapted when contacting your assigned programs during remediation. Please see below for both PDF and Word versions of the guide for your use.
Remediation HIPAA Violations - If you find a HIPAA violation while reviewing a program's application, please reach out to certification@aacvpr.org with to let us know, and then ask the program to delete the document with the violation and submit a new document for review as soon as possible.

Program Certification Initial Reviewer Training Call Recording
The 2025 Program Certification Initial Reviewer Training Call was held on March 5, 2025 at 1:00 pm ET/12:00 pm CT/11:00 am MT/10:00 am PT. Please see below for the recording. Slides from the presentation can be viewed here.
Note: When making decisions on each page, there is no longer a "Chair Review" button - just the "Accept" or "Deny" buttons. If you are unsure of your decision, please feel free to reach out for assistance and we can respond by email or add your question to an upcoming Q&A call.
2025 Program Certification Application Score Sheet- This score sheet was designed to help reviewers in their assessment of their assigned applications. The Checklist will allow you easily identify critical requirements for each page of the application process.
2025 Total Applications Submitted: 650
- CR Applications: 402
- PR Applications: 248
Each reviewer will receive approximately 17-18 applications to review this year.
2025 Review Timeline:
- Initial Application Review Period: March 6 - May 15
- You will be assigned approximately 15-20 applications to review
- The average time required will range between 5 to 10 hours a week, with the goal of completing the assigned reviews along the following timeline:
- March 6 - Reviews Begin
- April 1 - 25% of completed
- April 15 - 50% completed
- April 29 - 75% completed
- May 15 - 100% completed
- Remediation Application Period: August 1 - October 1
- You will be assigned approximately 8-10 applications to coach through the remediation process.
- The average time required to complete the reviews will be between 1 to 3 hours a week.

ITP Checklist - This resource was designed to help ensure that all required elements of the ITP are included.
Application Access & Navigation Instructions - This PDF that will walk you through how to navigate the review platform. This step-by-step guide will highlight important features of the application review system to familiarize yourself with as you work to complete your reviews.
How to Check For Sister Programs - This document includes instructions on how to check if a program listed any sister programs when submitting their application. Most sister programs will share a name, and some may have linked programs that were not up for recertification this year. As part of the review assignment process, we did our best to assign sister programs to the same reviewer to help ensure consistency when reviewing the policies and procedures. If you have questions about sister programs, please feel free to reach out to certification@aacvpr.org. NOTE: If you see a sister program listed but you are not assigned to review that sister program, no need to take action. Some sister programs were not due to recertify this year, and some sister programs were split up, generally if a high number of sister programs were identified for a specific health system.

Initial Review Applications will be available starting March 6. To access your assigned applications starting on March 6, please click the button below and then click on the "Reviewer Access" tab. Within that tab, click on the "Review Certifications" link to be directed to your reviewer dashboard.
